There were 35 new cases of Covid-19 recorded in Meghalaya today, along with 11 recoveries and no fatalities.
Majority of the new infections were recorded in West Garo Hills with 22, East Khasi Hills seven, Ri Bhoi three, South West Garo Hills two and West Khasi Hills one.
Eleven recoveries were four each in East Khasi Hills and Ri-Bhoi, West Garo Hills two and one in South West Garo Hills.
There are now 182 active Covid-19 cases in the state – West Garo Hills 85, East Khasi Hills 63, Ri Bhoi 18, West Jaiñtia Hills five, South West Garo Hills four, West Khasi Hills and North Garo Hills two each and East Garo Hills, East Jaiñtia Hills and South Garo Hills one each.
In all, Meghalaya has had 94,267 Covid-19 cases 92,490 have recovered and 1,595 have died from the virus. Fifteen patients are being treated in hospital with the disease – 11 in East Khasi Hills, two each in Ri-Bhoi and West Garo Hills.
