There was one new Covid-related fatality in Meghalaya today, along with 64 new cases and 80 recoveries.
The lone death was in East Khasi Hills.
There were 27 new infections in West Garo Hills, East Khasi Hills 14, Ri Bhoi seven, East Jaintia Hills four, three each in South Garo Hills and South West Garo Hills, West Jaiñtia Hills two, North Garo Hills two and one each in East Garo Hills and Eastern West Khasi Hills.
West Garo Hills accounted for 49 recoveries, East Khasi Hills 11, West Jaiñtia Hills six, Ri Bhoi six, South Garo Hills three, East Jaiñtia Hills two, East Garo Hills, South West Garo Hills and West Khasi Hills one each.
There are now 706 active Covid-19 cases in the state – West Garo Hills 430, East Khasi Hills 121, South West Garo Hills 34, West Jaintia Hills 33, South Garo Hills 29, Ri Bhoi 27, East Jaiñtia Hills 13, North Garo Hills eight, East Garo Hills seven, Eastern West Khasi Hills two and South West Khasi Hills two.
In all, Meghalaya has had 95,867 Covid-19 cases, out of which 93,551 have recovered and 1,610 have died from the virus.
There are 55 patients being treated in hospital with the disease – 30 in East Khasi Hills, four in Ri-Bhoi, two in South Garo Hills, 14 in West Garo Hills and five in West Jaiñtia Hills.
