Only one new case of Covid-19 was reported in Meghalaya today, as well as three recoveries and no new fatalities.
The new infection and all three recoveries were in East Khasi Hills.
In all, Meghalaya has had 13,932 Covid-19 cases, of which 164 are active, 13,620 have recovered and 148 have died from the virus. The recovery rate is 97.76 percent. The fatality rate is 1.06 percent. There were also around 1,150 Covid tests carried out in the last 24 hours.
The Health Department also informed that 12,356 healthcare workers have received the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine. In addition, 130 other frontline workers have also been vaccinated.
