There were just 13 new Covid-19 cases recorded in all of Meghalaya today, the lowest single-day figure since April 7. There were also 65 recoveries and no new fatalities.
East Khasi Hills recorded eight new cases today and there were five between the other 10 districts.
East Khasi Hills accounted for 45 recoveries, West Khasi Hills 10 and 10 between the other nine districts.
There are now 587 active Covid-19 cases in the state. East Khasi Hills alone accounts for 364 active cases, West Khasi Hills 111, West Jaiñtia Hills 49, Ri-Bhoi 33, West Garo Hills 12, East Garo Hills seven, East Jaiñtia Hills three, South West Garo Hills three, North Garo Hills two, South Garo Hills two and South West Khasi Hills one.
In all, Meghalaya has had 83,384 Covid-19 cases, of which 587 are active, 81,351 have recovered and 1,446 have died from the virus. The recovery rate is 97.56 percent. The fatality is 1.73 percent. The seven-day rolling average for new cases is 52.86 and for new deaths is 1.14.
