Recoveries from Covid-19 in Meghalaya crossed 2,000 for the month of November after 57 people recuperated from the disease today.
There were, however, 58 new infections but no new fatalities.
Of the new cases 22 were in East Khasi Hills, 20 in South Garo Hills, nine in Ri-Bhoi, six in West Garo Hills and one in South West Garo Hills.
East Khasi Hills saw seven new cases in the Pynthorbah cluster and four in the Laitumkhrah cluster. All 20 cases in South Garo Hills were in Siju Damikgittim.
The new recoveries were split between East Khasi Hills (30), Ri-Bhoi (11), South Garo Hills (10) and West Garo Hills (six).
Recoveries this month are now at 2,047. There have also been 1,945 new cases and 22 fatalities in the same period. The number of active cases currently stands at 895 out of a total of 11,397 cases. Overall, there have been 110 fatalities in Meghalaya from Covid-19 and 10,392 recoveries from the virus.
The Health Department also informed that around 1,400 Covid-19 tests were carried out in the past 24 hours.
