There were just 94 new cases of Covid-19 recorded in Meghalaya today, a new low since April 18. There were also 122 recoveries and one fatality.
The seven-day rolling average of new cases also dropped to a new low of 124.57 and for new deaths to 1.29.
The lone death was in East Khasi Hills, the Health Department informed.
East Khasi Hills recorded 54 new cases today, West Khasi Hills 32 and eight between the other nine districts.
East Khasi Hills accounted for 77 recoveries, Ri-Bhoi 17, West Khasi Hills 14, West Jaiñtia Hills 10 and four between the other seven districts.
There are now 1,281 active Covid-19 cases in the state. East Khasi Hills alone accounts for 697 active cases, West Khasi Hills 313, West Jaiñtia Hills 136, Ri-Bhoi 59, South West Khasi Hills 22, West Garo Hills 21, East Jaiñtia Hills 13, East Garo Hills 11, South West Garo Hills five, North Garo Hills two and South Garo Hills two.
In all, Meghalaya has had 82,162 Covid-19 cases, of which 1,281 are active, 79,468 have recovered and 1,413 have died from the virus. The recovery rate is 96.72 percent. The fatality is 1.72 percent. The seven-day rolling average for new cases is 124.57 and for new deaths is 1.29.
