There were 12 new cases of Covid-19 in Meghalaya today along with 11 recoveries and one fatality.
The lone death was recorded in East Jaiñtia Hills, the Health Department informed.
East Garo Hills accounted for one new case, East Khasi Hills three, Ri-Bhoi two, South Garo Hills one, South West Garo Hills one and West Garo Hills four.
East Khasi Hills accounted for six recoveries, Ri-Bhoi two, South West Garo Hills two and West Khasi Hills one.
There are now 66 active Covid-19 cases in the state – East Garo Hills two, East Jaiñtia Hills zero, East Khasi Hills 20, Eastern West Khasi Hills zero, North Garo Hills two, Ri-Bhoi nine, South Garo Hills one, South West Garo Hills three, South West Khasi Hills two, West Garo Hills 24, West Jaiñtia Hills three and West Khasi Hills zero.
In all, Meghalaya has had 96,579 Covid-19 cases, out of which 94,893 have recovered and 1,620 have died from the virus. There are 17 patients being treated in hospital with the disease – 12 in East Khasi Hills, one in Ri-Bhoi, two in South West Khasi Hills and two in West Garo Hills.
