Meghalaya recorded its first Covid-related death since March 14. There were also six new cases along with four recoveries.
The lone death was in East Jaintia Hills. There have now been 13 Covid deaths in the state this month.
East Khasi Hills recorded three new cases, North Garo Hills one, West Jaintia Hills one and West Khasi Hills one.
West Khasi Hills accounted for two recoveries, East Khasi Hills one and Ri-Bhoi one.
There are now 61 active Covid-19 cases in the state. East Khasi Hills alone accounts for 16 cases, West Garo Hills 11, West Jaintia Hills nine, Ri-Bhoi five, West Khasi Hills five, East Jaintia Hills five, South Garo Hills three, South West Khasi Hills three, North Garo Hills two, East Garo Hills one, South West Garo Hills one and Eastern West Khasi Hills zero.
In all, Meghalaya has had 93,714 Covid-19 cases, of which 61 are active, 92,062 have recovered and 1,591 have died from the virus.
