A further seven new cases of Covid-19 were reported in Meghalaya today. There were also seven recoveries and no new fatalities.
Six of the new infections were reported in East Khasi Hills and one in West Garo Hills.
All seven of the new infections were reported in East Khasi Hills.
In all, Meghalaya has had 13,717 Covid-19 cases, of which 133 are active, 13,440 have recovered and 144 have died from the virus. The recovery rate is 97.98 per cent. The fatality rate is 1.05 per cent.
The Health Department also informed that around 1,500 Covid tests were carried out in the last 24 hours.
