Meghalaya recorded another 24 new cases of Covid-19 today, all of which were in East Khasi Hills.
Two of the cases were detected among tourists while 22 were among returnees.
This is the third time this week that new cases in double digits were reported in the state.
In all, Meghalaya has had 14,106 Covid-19 cases, of which 88 are active, 13,868 have recovered and 150 have died from the virus. The recovery rate has fallen to 98.31 per cent. The fatality rate is 1.06 per cent.
Meanwhile, 22,462 health workers, 32, 828 frontline workers and 31,165 people based on the eligible age group received the first dose of the vaccine.
