There were 10 new cases of Covid-19 in Meghalaya today along with seven recoveries and one fatality.
The lone death was recorded in East Khasi Hills, the Health Department informed.
East Garo Hills accounted for zero new cases, East Jaiñtia Hills zero, East Khasi Hills three, Eastern West Khasi Hills zero, North Garo Hills zero, Ri-Bhoi two, South Garo Hills one, South West Garo Hills zero, South West Khasi Hills zero, West Garo Hills four, West Jaintia Hills zero and West Khasi Hills zero.
East Garo Hills accounted for zero recoveries, East Jaiñtia Hills zero, East Khasi Hills three, Eastern West Khasi Hills zero, North Garo Hills zero, Ri-Bhoi one, South Garo Hills two, South West Garo Hills one, South West Khasi Hills zero, West Garo Hills zero, West Jaiñtia Hills zero and West Khasi Hills zero.
There are now 96 active Covid-19 cases in the state – East Garo Hills one, East Jaiñtia Hills four, East Khasi Hills 30, Eastern West Khasi Hills three, North Garo Hills zero, Ri-Bhoi 10, South Garo Hills four, South West Garo Hills nine, South West Khasi Hills one, West Garo Hills 27, West Jaiñtia Hills seven and West Khasi Hills zero.
In all, Meghalaya has had 96,420 Covid-19 cases, out of which 94,706 have recovered and 1,618 have died from the virus. There are 43 patients being treated in hospital with the disease – 29 in East Khasi Hills, two in Ri-Bhoi, three in South Garo Hills, seven in West Garo Hills and two in West Jaiñtia Hills.
