There were 114 new cases of Covid-19 recorded in Meghalaya today along with and 55 recoveries and no fatalities.
Altogether, there were 89 infections in Garo Hills, with 70 of these in West Garo Hills alone. That took the number of active infections to 400 in the district.
There were 15 new infections in East Khasi Hills, one in East Garo Hills, zero in East Jaiñtia Hills, one in Eastern West Khasi Hills, two in North Garo Hills, three in Ri-Bhoi, six in South Garo Hills, 10 in South West Garo Hills, zero in South West Khasi Hills, 70 in West Garo Hills, five in West Jaiñtia Hills and one in West Khasi Hills.
Twenty recoveries were in East Khasi Hills, two in East Garo Hills, one in East Jaiñtia Hills, five in Ri-Bhoi, one in South Garo Hills, two in South West Garo Hills, 22 in West Garo Hills and two in West Jaiñtia Hills.
There are now 687 active Covid-19 cases in the state – East Garo Hills six, East Jaiñtia Hills seven, East Khasi Hills 118, Eastern West Khasi Hills eight, North Garo Hills 12, Ri-Bhoi 40, South Garo Hills 25, South West Garo Hills 43, South West Khasi Hills zero, West Garo Hills 400, West Jaiñtia Hills 21 and West Khasi Hills seven.
In all, Meghalaya has had 95,198 Covid-19 cases, out of which 92,906 have recovered and 1,605 have died from the virus. There are 66 patients being treated in hospital with the disease – 43 in East Khasi Hills, three in Ri-Bhoi, four in South Garo Hills, 14 in West Garo Hills and two in West Jaiñtia Hills.
