Meghalaya recorded another 16 new cases of Covid-19 today, taking the number of active cases to 102.
Eleven of the new infections were recorded in East Khasi Hills, with three in Ri-Bhoi and two in West Garo Hills.
Four of those in East Khasi Hills and both in West Garo Hills were of armed forces/paramilitaries. Three returnees in East Khasi Hills and one in Ri-Bhoi also tested positive for the disease.
In all, Meghalaya has had 14,122 Covid-19 cases, of which 102 are active, 13,870 have recovered and 150 have died from the virus. The recovery rate has fallen to 98.22 percent. The fatality rate is 1.06 percent.
