There was one Covid-related death and 20 new cases of the disease recorded in Meghalaya today. There were also 64 recoveries statewide.
The lone death was logged in East Khasi Hills and was of an unvaccinated person, the Health Department informed.
East Khasi Hills recorded 13 new cases, with seven between the other 10 districts.
East Khasi Hills also accounted for 54 recoveries and there were 10 between the other 10 districts.
There are now 273 active Covid-19 cases in the state. East Khasi Hills alone accounts for 197 active cases, West Garo Hills 24, West Khasi Hills 19, Ri-Bhoi 14, East Garo Hills eight, West Jaiñtia Hills five, East Jaiñtia Hills three, South Garo Hills one, South West Garo Hills one, South West Khasi Hills one and North Garo Hills zero.
In all, Meghalaya has had 83,962 Covid-19 cases, of which 273 are active, 82,227 have recovered and 1,462 have died from the virus.
