There were 21 new cases of Covid-19 in Meghalaya today along with 231 recoveries – 207 of which were in West Garo Hills – and no fatalities. This saw the number of active cases drop drastically in the state to 125.
There were six new infections in East Khasi Hills, zero in East Garo Hills, one in East Jaiñtia Hills, one in Eastern West Khasi Hills, zero in North Garo Hills, three in Ri-Bhoi, two in South Garo Hills, one in South West Garo Hills, one in South West Khasi Hills, five in West Garo Hills, one in West Jaiñtia Hills and zero in West Khasi Hills.
East Khasi Hills accounted for nine recoveries, East Garo Hills zero, East Jaiñtia Hills zero, Eastern West Khasi Hills zero, North Garo Hills three, Ri-Bhoi six, South Garo Hills one, South West Garo Hills three, South West Khasi Hills one, West Garo Hills 207, West Jaiñtia Hills one and West Khasi Hills zero.
There are now 335 active Covid-19 cases in the state – East Garo Hills two, East Jaiñtia Hills five, East Khasi Hills 40, Eastern West Khasi Hills two, North Garo Hills three, Ri-Bhoi 17, South Garo Hills four, South West Garo Hills 10, South West Khasi Hills five, West Garo Hills 235, West Jaiñtia Hills 12 and West Khasi Hills zero.
In all, Meghalaya has had 96,363 Covid-19 cases, out of which 94,622 have recovered and 1,616 have died from the virus. There are 33 patients being treated in hospital with the disease – 20 in East Khasi Hills, three in South Garo Hills, seven in West Garo Hills and three in West Jaiñtia Hills.
