There were eight new cases of Covid-19 in Meghalaya today along with 14 recoveries and no fatalities.
East Khasi Hills accounted for three new cases, Ri-Bhoi two, South West Khasi Hills one and West Garo Hills two.
East Garo Hills accounted for one recovery, East Khasi Hills three, North Garo Hills one, Ri-Bhoi three, West Garo Hills five and West Jaiñtia Hills one.
There are now 60 active Covid-19 cases in the state – East Garo Hills one, East Jaiñtia Hills zero, East Khasi Hills 20, Eastern West Khasi Hills zero, North Garo Hills one, Ri-Bhoi eight, South Garo Hills one, South West Garo Hills three, South West Khasi Hills three, West Garo Hills 21, West Jaiñtia Hills two and West Khasi Hills zero.
In all, Meghalaya has had 96,587 Covid-19 cases, out of which 94,907 have recovered and 1,620 have died from the virus. There are 17 patients being treated in hospital with the disease – 12 in East Khasi Hills, one in Ri-Bhoi, two in South West Khasi Hills and two in West Garo Hills.
