There were eight new cases of Covid-19 in Meghalaya today along with three recoveries and no fatalities.
East Khasi Hills accounted for three new cases, Ri-Bhoi two, South West Garo Hills one and West Garo Hills two.
Ri-Bhoi, South West Garo Hills and West Garo Hills accounted for one recovery each.
There are now 56 active Covid-19 cases in the state – East Garo Hills two, East Jaiñtia Hills zero, East Khasi Hills 23, Eastern West Khasi Hills zero, North Garo Hills zero, Ri-Bhoi nine, South Garo Hills zero, South West Garo Hills three, South West Khasi Hills zero, West Garo Hills 18, West Jaiñtia Hills one and West Khasi Hills zero.
In all, Meghalaya has had 96,688 Covid-19 cases, out of which 95,010 have recovered and 1,622 have died from the virus. There are 10 patients being treated in hospital with the disease – seven in East Khasi Hills and three in Ri-Bhoi.
