There were eight new cases of Covid-19 in Meghalaya today along with seven recoveries and no fatalities.
East Khasi Hills accounted for five new cases and Ri-Bhoi three.
East Khasi Hills accounted for three recoveries, Ri-Bhoi three and West Garo Hills one.
There are now 59 active Covid-19 cases in the state – East Garo Hills four, East Jaiñtia Hills zero, East Khasi Hills 23, Eastern West Khasi Hills zero, North Garo Hills zero, Ri-Bhoi 11, South Garo Hills zero, South West Garo Hills three, South West Khasi Hills zero, West Garo Hills 16, West Jaiñtia Hills two and West Khasi Hills zero.
In all, Meghalaya has had 96,671 Covid-19 cases, out of which 94,990 have recovered and 1,622 have died from the virus. There are 10 patients being treated in hospital with the disease – eight in East Khasi Hills, one in Ri-Bhoi and one in West Garo Hills.
