There were 83 new cases of Covid-19 today in Meghalaya today as well as 162 recoveries and two fatalities.
Deaths were recorded in East Khasi Hills and Eastern West Khasi Hills. There have now been 35 Covid deaths this month.
East Khasi Hills recorded 22 new cases, West Garo Hills 20, Ri-Bhoi 10, East Garo Hills and North Garo Hills seven each, East Jaintia Hills, West Jaintia Hills and West Khasi Hills five each, two each in Eastern West Khasi Hills and South West Garo Hills and one in South West Khasi Hills.
There are now 850 active Covid-19 cases in the state. In all Meghalaya has had 92,933 Covid-19 cases, 90, 522 have recovered and 1,561 have died from the virus. The seven-day average of new infections has decreased to 112.71.
