There were 14 new cases of Covid-19 recorded today in Meghalaya along with 10 recoveries and no fatalities.
East Khasi Hills accounted for four new infections, Ri-Bhoi three, West Garo Hills six and West Jaintia Hills one. Four of those in West Garo Hills were in the Sangsanggre (Home Science college) cluster.
All 10 recoveries were in East Khasi Hills.
There are now 111 active Covid-19 cases in the state – East Khasi Hills 57, Eastern West Khasi Hills one, Ri-Bhoi eight, South West Garo Hills one, West Garo Hills 43 and West Jaintia Hills one.
In all, Meghalaya has had 94,041 Covid-19 cases, 92,336 have recovered and 1,594 have died from the virus. Four patients are being treated in hospital with the disease – one in East Khasi Hills, two in Ri-Bhoi and one in West Garo Hills.
