The occupancy rate of Covid-19 beds in Shillong hospitals dropped to 86 percent today as extra beds were added in the city.
Eighteen beds in Military Hospital and three in Dr H Gordon Roberts Hospital were added for the care of coronavirus patients.
In Meghalaya as a whole, 75 percent of Covid beds are occupied.
There are now 1,057 such beds (138 in intensive care units (ICUs) and 919 oxygen-supported beds) in the state. As of today, 794 are occupied all over Meghalaya. In Shillong the figure is 671 occupied out of 778.
