Even as the Congress slumps to a miserable low, Meghalaya Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) working president, Pynshgain N Syiem exuded confidence that it will fight and come back to power during the next election.
Addressing new party workers who joined the party at Bhoirymbong under Umroi constituency, Syiem said that the contribution made by the party in the State is uncountable even as misconceptions were created to weaken it.
He said new entrants into the party imply that that there are genuine reasons for them to join the Congress with a hope to bring about change in the State.
The function was attended by MPCC vice president P. Lyngkhoi, adhoc secretary, Isynei Hinge, Ri Bhoi district president and Mawhati MDC Charles Marngar.
