The eighth annual College Week of the College of Agriculture at Kyrdemkulai, Ri-Bhoi, concluded today with a valedictory ceremony.
Ri-Bhoi Deputy Commissioner Abhilash Baranwal was the chief guest on the occasion.
College Dean Ram Singh extended a warm welcome to Baranwal and thanked him for his unwavering support and encouragement towards the institution’s initiatives. In his address, Singh highlighted the college’s efforts in promoting sustainable agricultural practices, particularly the introduction of the natural farming course, which has positioned the institution as a trailblazer in the region.
He also highlighted the college’s commitment to fostering innovation in agriculture and its role as a hub for empowering the local farming community.
The DC appreciated the college’s proactive approach in introducing the natural farming course, calling it a transformative step toward achieving sustainability in agriculture. He further assured the college community of his assurance to resolving pressing issues such as inadequate communication and mobile network facilities.
