The Chokpot regional unit of the Garo Students Union (GSU) held its elections on September 27, a press release informed today.
Jish A Sangma was elected president and Spencer R Sangma general secretary. Other senior members included Chengbirth M Sangma, Dingrak R Marak (both vice-presidents), Saint Lawrence T Sangma, Nangrimwell R Sangma (both assistant general secretaries) and Rikkim Ch Marak, Dilling R Marak, Whysent Ch Marak (publicity secretaries).
The president and general secretary yesterday finalised the names of those members in charge of various departments. The chief advisers have been named as Chamujar Ch Sangma, Jeshwell Ch Marak and Nobert Fuller Ch Marak. The legal advisers are Chesrang R Marak and Leobirth R Sangma. Fifteen executive members were also appointed.
