Meghalaya Chief Electoral Officer FR Kharkongor today reviewed poll preparedness in Ri Bhoi district with the District Election Officer-cum-Deputy Commissioner and Superintendents of Police.
Inspection was conducted to the counting centre and all arrangements were reviewed during his visit.
Earlier the CEO interacted with the Umroi Airport Director, CISF, Nodal Officer Income Tax and reviewed various protocols with AIU (Airport Intelligence Unit) in the context of increasing number of unscheduled and charter flights landing in Umroi towards the close of the election campaign.
He also inspected the temporary and makeshift polling station at the Leprosy Colony.
