Umsning MLA Celestine Lyngdoh has been appointed as adviser of the departments of Home and Education.
Lyngdoh will enjoy the perks and facilities under Category A.
It may be noted that recently Lyngdoh along with two other MLAs – Charles Marngar and Gabriel Wahlang – left the Congress and joined the NPP.
They claimed that they joined the ruling party for the sake of “development” of their constituencies.
With their joining, the NPP achieved full majority with a numerical strength of 31 in the 60-member Assembly.
