Meal Workers Union and Cook cum Helper PM Poshan, Meghalaya today felicitated adviser of the All Jaiñtia Mid Day Meal Worker Union, Khroo L Pariat for securing their rights from the government.
Pariat has been on the forefront to push for an increase in honorarium.
On December 22, the State government has decided to enhance the honorarium of cook cum helper from Rs 1000 to Rs 2000 for 10 actual working months with effect from April, 2022.
The felicitation programme was chaired by Mangkara Kharjumaty and general secretary Jena Nengnong, president of union in the presence of Banalis Syiem president and Charles Shongwan general secretary cook cum helper, Ri bhoi district.
