BSF Meghalaya seized Indian and Bangladesh currencies from the international border in East Khasi Hills district.
The seizure was made in two different operations yesterday, BSF said.
In Nayabazar troops of 04 Bn BSF recovered 18 lakh Bangladesh Taka but miscreants managed to flee taking advantage of darkness, thick vegetation and undulating ground.
Similarly troops of 110 Bn BSF in Ryngku area also foiled a misadventure of miscreants on the border and impounded Indian currency Rs 3.12 lakh.
