A Border Security Force (BSF) jawan lost his life after he was attacked by a wild elephant in South Garo Hills district.
The deceased jawan was identified as Vijay Kumar of the 181 bn BSF.
The incident happened today at around 12:30 pm while the jawan was passing through a border road between Rasnagre and Nilwagre.
Following the attack, the jawan was rushed to Sibbari PHC but succumbed to his injuries.
