A civic action programme was undertaken by the 1st Battalion of the Border Security Force yesterday along the international border in South Garo Hills.
Essential items like stationery, water storage tanks, solar lamps and PVC pipes worth Rs 2.37 lakh were distributed among students of Mahadev, Kanai Lower Primary School and residents of nearby villages like Mahadev, Patlaban, Bongera, Kanai, etc.
South Garo Hills Deputy Commissioner Shivansh Awasthi was present on the occasion.
