The Deputy Commissioner East Jaiñtia Hills District has informed citizens applying for Permanent Residential Certificate (PRC) that the certificate would be needed only for higher education and training.
The certificate will be granted to only those who have been residing continuously in the district for a period of not less than 12 years and those who decided to stay permanently.
The certificate can also be applied online through the website, https://megedistrict.gov.in. Documents required to be attached with the application include EPIC/Aadhaar Card, Birth Certificate, Residential Certificate, ST Certificate, Passport Size Photograph, School& College Admit Cards, School & College Mark sheets and Identity and Residential proof of parents.
