The Seema Praharis of the Border Security Force (BSF), Meghalaya organised Civic Action Programs cum Free Medical Camps at different locations along the Indo-Bangladesh border.
The programme was part of their ongoing efforts to ensure the well-being of the population residing along the Indo-Bangladesh border,
A free medical camp cum civic action programme on the international border under the supervision of Vinod Kumar Thapliyal, commandant 172 Bn .
During the camp, doctors from BSF conducted free health checkups and distributed medicines to the needy villagers of the bordering villages Laijori, Kuliang and Sankhat.
More than 300 local villagers from nearby border areas benefited from the medical camp.
As part of the civic action program, 11 Sewing machines were distributed to women in bordering villages such as Umkiang, Dona, Laijuri and Huroi under East Jaiñtia Hills district.
The Seema Praharis of 110 Bn BSF Meghalaya organized a Civic Action program and Weapon Exhibition at bordering village Ryngku under East Khasi Hills district.
During the programme, sports and stationary items were distributed among school students.
