The 28th Battalion of the Border Security Force (BSF) Meghalaya today held a civic action programme in Bollongre village, South West Garo Hills, along the Indo-Bangladesh border.
During the programme, the BSF unit distributed sports items for the youth, agricultural tools and water storage tanks for farmers and stationery and school bags for students.
Approximately 250 people from the border villages attended the programme.
The BSF hoped that such programmes will go a long way in further consolidating the bond between the locals and border guards.
