The IIM Shillong Foundation for Incubation and Entrepreneurship (IIMSFIE) commenced the third edition of the ‘Summer School Bootcamp’ for aspiring young entrepreneurs of Northeast at its campus.
Fifty-nine participants representing all eight Northeastern states, which includes students, early-stage startup founders and aspiring entrepreneurs are taking part in the bootcamp that will run till May 17.
Seasoned entrepreneurs and industry experts from across India and faculty members of IIM Shillong are providing participants with a rich blend of theoretical knowledge and practical insights.
Designed to spark entrepreneurial thinking, the program focuses on creative problem-solving and hands-on exposure to the startup ecosystem. Through expert-led sessions, mentorship, and collaborative activities, the bootcamp offers participants a unique platform to transform ideas into actionable ventures.
The inaugural session, which was held on Tuesday, was attended by IIM Shillong Director in charge Prof. Naliniprava Tripathy who inspired the participants with her keynote address, encouraging them to view challenges as opportunities. She also reaffirmed the institute’s commitment to nurturing entrepreneurial talent across the region.
IIMSFIE Director Prof. Rohit Dwivedi emphasised the immense potential of the Northeast and underscored the importance of youth-led innovation to address regional challenges.
