Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president JP Nadda will pay a two-day visit to Meghalaya starting on Tuesday to drum up support for the party ahead of the February 27 Assembly polls.
Nadda will release the BJP’s manifesto for the election on Wednesday, address public rallies and chair party meetings.
He will fly into Umroi Airport in the afternoon and address a rally in Jhalupara at 5pm, followed by an organisational meeting at the Taj Vivanta hotel.
The five-star hotel will also be the venue for the manifesto release the next morning and he will follow that with lunch with “eminent personalities” and a meeting with representatives of the business community.
