The BJP today expelled three of its members for contesting against the party’s official candidates in the recent Assembly elections in the State.
The expelled members include Pramod Koch (Dalu), Michael Kharsyntiew (North Shillong) and Daniel Wahlang (Mawsynram).
According to State BJP president Ernest Mawrie, the three members have been expelled with immediate effect for working against the official candidates of the party.
It may be mentioned that Koch had contested against the BJP’s official candidate Akki A. Sangma in Dalu constituency. Kharsyntiew contested against the party’s candidate Mariahom Kharkrang from North Shillong while Wahlang contested against the party’s candidate and former MLA Himalaya M. Shangpliang.
