The North East Zone Cultural Centre, part of the Union Ministry of Culture, has invited applications for availing the Guru Shishya Parampara Scheme for 2022-2023.
Candidates in the 45-70 age group having a thorough knowledge for imparting training in any cultural field of the region, ie folk dance/songs, bamboo/cane/wood craft, folk theatre, mask making, etc are invited to apply. Emphasis will be given to dying and vanishing art forms of the region. On selection and appointment of the guru, he/she will appoint an assistant and four shishyas (in the age group of 15-25 years) and impart training for one year.
The rate of honoraria per month for one year is Rs 7,500 for gurus, Rs 3,750 for assistants and Rs 1,500 for shishyas.
The application along with bio-data and supporting documents should be submitted to the Directorate of Arts and Culture headquarters at the State Central Library complex here on or before July 25, 2023.
