Right to Information (RTI) activist Disparsing Rani has uncovered another 362 vacant posts in state government departments.
Rani has been periodically revealing vacant posts as and when the government departments respond to his RTI requests.
The vacant posts he detailed today are to be found at various levels in the Public Works Department, Fisheries, Forests, Health, etc.
Rani said that the data shows that there are 111 posts in the Health Department that are vacant out of which 16 are at the DMHO Mawkyrwat, 34 in Shillong Civil Hospital, 19 in Nongstoin Civil Hospital, etc.
In the Social Welfare Department, there are 19 empty posts, 42 in PWD, 97 in Forests and Environment and 93 in Fisheries.
