‘Agrivision’, the first NE zonal convention on “Futuristic Agriculture for Atmanirbhar Bharat in the Eastern Himalayan Region” concluded today at the College of Post Graduate Studies in Agricultural Sciences, Umiam.
During the two-day conclave, four technical sessions were held and 103 research papers on various aspect of futuristic agriculture were presented by professors, directors, joint directors, deans and students across the country.
Awards were conferred to the winners of the oral presentation and poster presentation of young researchers.
State Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Minister, Alexander Laloo Hek who attended the programme as the chief guest emphasized on important crops and their export status and stressed on the need to carry out demand driven researches.
ABVP Zonal Organizing Secretary, Kamalnayan spoke about Agrivision events in building leadership among the students. He said that students should carry out research work for the betterment of farmers in the North Eastern region.
National Convener, Shubham Singh Patel announced the Agrivision team members of North East India.
