The government appointed administrator for the Chandra Mohan Jha (CMJ) University has invited claims and objections from the public before winding up the university.
The administrator, D. Lyngdoh, who is the Education Joint Secretary, has commenced the process of shutting down the university and will receive claims and objections on or before April 25.
Students have also been advised to collect their official transcripts and academic documents.
The Supreme Court on February 13 had directed the dissolution of the university, supporting the state government’s 2014 decision to shut down the institution after allegations of “mismanagement, maladministration, indiscipline and fraudulent intent”.
