A social activist has appealed to the Education Minister for the release of scholarships for deserving students.
Greneth M Sangma said in a missive that while some students have received their scholarships, “many others”, including new applicants, await payment.
He asked the minister to intervene and ensure that pending scholarships are released immediately, ensure transparency and timely disbursement, provide clear communication regarding payment status and expected timelines, streamline the scholarship application and disbursement process and establish a dedicated grievance redressal mechanism.
