The Raksamgre and Chibinang unit of the Constitutional Rights Forum (CRF) has backed the demands by the A’chik Conscious Holistically Integrated Krima (ACHIK) over the roster system and reservation policy.
Reusing much of the same language ACHIK included in an ultimatum issued yesterday, the CRF said that the reservation policy and roster system are meant to address “historical imbalances” and provide opportunities to marginalised sections of society.
However, the CRF is “disheartened” at the “continued delay in implementing the roster system retrospectively in Meghalaya” in all public sector organizations, departments and educational institutions.
