The court of First Class Judicial Magistrate DKK Mihsill granted bail to Silome James, one of the accused in the Raja Raghuvanshi murder case.
James was granted bail with a bond of Rs 50,000 and two sureties. The court imposed several conditions, including that James must not influence the investigation, tamper with evidence, or contact witnesses.
He is also required to cooperate with the ongoing investigation and appear before the court as directed.
The prosecution had opposed James’ bail plea, citing his alleged role in destroying evidence related to the case.
James, a property dealer, is accused of leasing a flat to Sonam Raghuvanshi, a prime accused in the case, and concealing items belonging to her and her accomplices, including a country-made pistol, jewellery, laptop, and cash.
He later revealed the locations of these items to the police.
