The dignitaries who will unfurl the National Flag and take salute at the ceremonial parade on the occasion of Republic Day on Sunday in the district headquarters are Governor CH Vijayashankar at Shillong, Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma at Tura, Deputy Chief Minister Prestone Tynsong at Nongstoin, Deputy Chief Minister Sniawbhalang Dhar at Mawkyrwat and ministers Paul Lyngdoh at Nongpoh, Comingone Ymbon at Jowai, A T Mondal at Williamnagar, Rakkam A Sangma at Baghmara, Marcuise N Marak at Resubelpara, M Ampareen Lyngdoh at Ampati, Kyrmen Shylla at Khliehriat and Shakliar Warjri at Mairang.
In the civil subdivisions, MLAs Sanjay A Sangma will unfurl the National Flag and take salute at the ceremonial parade at Sohra, Gavin Mylliemngap at Amlarem, Marthon J Sangma at Dadenggre, Dr Celestine Lyngdoh at Pynursla, Sengchim N Sangma at Chokpot, Limison D Sangma at Raksamgre, Gabriel Wahlang at Mawshynrut, Ian Botham K Sangma at Ranikor, Charles Marngar at Patharkhmah, Jim M Sangma at Rongjeng, Subir Marak at Jengjal and Brening A Sangma at Dalu.
In Hima Shangpung (Laskein C&RD Block), Santa Mary Shylla MLA will unfurl the National Flag and take salute at the ceremonial parade.
Meanwhile, on the occasion of Republic Day, the Governor will host a reception, ‘At Home’ at Raj Bhavan, Shillong at 11am.
