Meghalaya climbers bring home 6 medals

Climbers of the Meghalaya Sport Climbing & Mountaineering Association (MeSCMA) brought home six medals from the recently concluded North East Sport Climbing Championship.

The competition was organised by IMF North East Zone Sport Climbing Committee, which concluded on January 11 at Roing, Lower Dibang Valley, Arunachal Pradesh.

The Meghalaya climbers were sponsored by the Directorate of Sports and Youth Affairs, Govt of Meghalaya.

The names of   the participants who took part in the competition and their ranking are:

Sub Junior Girls :-

1. Pynkmenlang Lyngdoh – Silver in speed climbing
2. Dadapbiang Lyngdoh- Bronze in Bouldering climbing
3. Mebalaaishisha Tham- 4th Position
4. Aijingsuk Lyngdoh – 6th Position
5. Idaseisoh Tongper -7th Position

Sub Junior Boys :-

1. Hamebanker Nongsiej – Bronze in Speed climbing
2. Givensamson Lyngdoh – 4th Position
3. Mebandonlang Umsong – 5th Position

Junior Boys:-

1. Kyrmenskhem Lyngdoh – Gold in Speed climbing, Gold in Lead climbing and Silver in bouldering climbing
2. Lurshai Nongkhlaw- 4th Position
3. Benison Mawlong – 5th Position
4. Atiar Nongkhlaw – 6th Position
5. Bankyrshanlang Tham- 7th Position
