Nine students from Meghalaya have qualified for the National Meteorological Olympiad 2024 in New Delhi next month.
The top three from the state level competition (held on December 14-15 online) from Classes 8, 9 and 11 will travel to the national capital for the next stage of the Olympiad.
The nine students are Grace Lamnunnem, Itishree Ray and Sarah T Lhouvum from Class 8, Venitia Kharir, Edrick K Mawrie and Phinsabet Suting from Class 9 and Simon L Nongbri, Bakmenskhem Nongrum and Laseibaniar Kharmalki from Class 11.
The Olympiad is being held to commemorate the 150 years journey of the Indian Meteorological Department.
