An animal health camp was held today in Thadnongiaw village, Ri-Bhoi, under the NICRA-TDC project by Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) Ri-Bhoi, with over 40 local farmers participating.
The camp focused on improving livestock health through practical demonstrations on deworming, vaccination and the benefits of vitamin and mineral supplementation. Experts also emphasised the importance of biosecurity measures, such as securing animal enclosures, controlling farm access and maintaining personal hygiene to prevent disease transmission.
The event aimed to equip farmers with the knowledge and skills needed to enhance livestock productivity and resilience, promoting sustainable farming practices to adapt to climate change and ensure long-term farm health and productivity.
