A female infant was left at the cradle point of Lawei Baphyrnai Specialised Adoption Agency, Reach Shillong Ministries, in Lumsohphoh, Nongthymmai, on the evening of November 11 at around 5pm.
Such cradle points are set up with the intention for parent/s to be able to leave babies, for whatever reason, in a safe space instead of abandoning them in dangerous places.
If, however, this baby is unclaimed for 60 days, it will be declared legally free for adoption.
