Boxing legend MC Mary Kom has been declared as the official brand ambassador for the Assam Rifles Half Marathon (ARHM) 2024.
The racing event considered the largest in the Northeast is set to take place in Shillong on November 24. The organisers said the ARHM is expected to draw record numbers of participants from across the region, with excitement reaching new heights for the celebrated event.
Runners of all levels are invited to participate in one of three race categories: the challenging 21 km half marathon, a swift 10 km race, and a fun 5 km run.
Promising participants that they will experience the natural beauty of Meghalaya, racing through the state’s mesmerising landscapes, from rolling hills to serene lakes, the Assam Rifles said it is a unique opportunity to “Chase the clouds and conquer the hills.”
An impressive Rs 18 lakhs will be awarded across race categories.
Registered participants will receive goodie bags, premium gear, and access to a post-race buffet.
Participants can register by November 10 to take part in the event that will commence from the Headquarters Directorate General Assam Rifles helipad in Laitkor.
