The Destination Management Committee of the East Khasi Hills Deputy Commissioner’s office will hold a linguistic training cum tourist facilitator programme from August 6 to 30.
The training programme, which is in connection with the Swadesh Darshan 2.0 scheme, will be held in association with the Indian Institute of Tourism & Travel Management.
Shillong and Sohra have been brought under the scheme of the Union Ministry of Tourism. The training programme for Sohra will be held in September, the Deputy Commissioner who is also the chairman of the committee said in a press release.
